Safe Environment Requirements for Staff & Volunteers

ISAFE REQUIREMENTS FOR VOLUNTEERS

 

If you are a volunteer in any capacity at St. John the Baptist Parish, you must be compliant with the required trainings and background checks of the Office of Child and Youth Protection of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and complete part A below prior to volunteering. Once a clearance is obtained by clicking the link below, print the certificate and submit to the parish office to the attention of the Safe Environment Coordinator. Clearances must be renewed every 5 years.


A.  CHECKS AND CLEARANCES

1. PA State Police Criminal Record Check

·  Can be obtained online at https://epatch.state.pa.us/Home.jsp 

2. PA Department Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance 

·   Can also be obtained online at  https://www.compass.state.pa.us/CWIS

3. Disclosure Statement for Volunteers if you have lived in PA for 10 Consecutive years:  https://childyouthprotection.org/docs/disclosure%20statement%20volunteers.pdf

Federal Criminal Background Check (if you have not lived in PA for 10 years:
Go to https://uenroll.identogo.com/ to schedule an appointment for the background check.


B.  REQUIRED TRAININGS (Part I  & II)

You must set up a profile with a valid e-mail address and password to register / complete both trainings.  Please keep this profile handy for Part II of the training once you attend and complete the Part I training.
