Anointing of the Sick

Anointing of the Sick

You and your loved ones are in our prayers at this difficult time.  Catholics may receive the healing Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick by calling the Rectory at anytime for yourself or a loved one.

Parish Prayers and Sick List

If you would like a name added to the parish prayer list, you email secretary@stjohnmanayunk.org.  Due to privacy we ask that you only add those persons that have given permission to have their name announced or printed.  For those gravely ill, they may be added to the prayers at Mass on Sunday when you make your request.

Communion Visitation to the Homebound

If your or your loved one  would like to setup regular home visits to receive the Eucharist, please call the parish secretary at 215-482-4600.  Please provide your name and address within the 19127/28 area.

Anointing of the Sick

The Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick is a sacrament of healing, and may be administered at any time, for those who:
-Have received a medical diagnosis
-Are preparing for surgery or are in ongoing treatment
-Are on Hospice at home or in the hospital
-Are dying or near death

Hospital Visitation & Emergencies

Priests from the local parishes visit Roxborough Memorial Hospital on rotation.  You or your loved one may receive a visit in the hospital by notifying the nurse on call that you are Catholic and would like a visit or would like to receive Communion.  Eucharistic Ministers of Holy Communion and Deacons also visit the local hospitals but are unable to hear confession.

In an emergency and if you are in  need of a priest, either the hospital can contact the local parish for an emergency visit by the priest on call, or call our after hours emergency line at 215.482.4600, then press 9.  Please speak clearly and leave your name, telephone number, and the person you are calling about.

For Caregivers

Nourish For Caregivers is support provided through the parish in an effort to provide resources for those caring for a loved one.  Contact Jennifer Rose by calling the parish office at 215.482.4600.
