St. Mary's Woods (Picnic Grounds)

In 2012, the parishes of St. John the Baptist. St. Josaphat, and St. Mary of the Assumption merged.  St. John the Baptist Church located at 119 Rector Street is the primary worship site for the newly merged parish.

St. Mary of the Assumption Church still stands on Conarroe Street but is now privately owned and was added as a Historic site by the community to preserve the building.  St. Mary's Woods which was the property of St. Mary Parish is located on 339 Port Royal Avenue hosts parish events such as the Fourth of July Parish Picnic, Young Adult Bonfires, Movie Nights, and more.

Through the generous help of key parish volunteers, St. Mary's Woods is maintained throughout the year and helping hands are welcome.  If you have landscaping abilities or a love of nature, please contact the parish office so we can get you in touch with our volunteer team.
